Is there any plans or ideas about what will happen to System.Management ?

The two side are to forget about WMI altogether or a better idea knowing powershell core is supposed to be brought to life my opinion would be to rewrite System.Management to work with real CIM solutions like openpegasus, openlmi, etc… and Windows as usual on Win32 side.

IMHO WMI (CIM) leveraged on all platforms with coreclr could bring Desired State Configuration and other automations at a interesting levels.
