Scala + .NET Core CLR

#1

Are there any plans to port scala to .NET Core CLR?
I know there was Scala.NET project which wasn’t released for some reasons.
It would be very good to have Scala in .NET and having .NET Core running xplat we will make many Scala devs to look into .NET world instead of Java world.

I think CLR has more opportunities than JVM for functional languages.

IKVM.Net would need to be ported first. After that, I’m not sure why it couldn’t be done.

#3

More than a IKVM solution if there was a .net core solution which can visualise any IR, it would mean that Java can directly run on top of .net.

The current .net CIL can be one among many such supported formats.

Only if the ,net core team can be convinced about this.
