Numerics method and science computation on .NET Ecosystem

#1

What about this topic? I think that Community and MS can develop System.Numerics namespace and transform this to built-in science computation platform. Anyone interested this?

#2

Have you taken a look at Deveel Math? Originally, it was my port of Google’s Harmony java.lang.math. * package, that I later integrated with astronomical functions taken by contributions to the original package.

I’m not sure it is what you’re looking for though.

#3

This project already exists. http://www.meta-numerics.net/

#4

There is also a pretty mature numerics library called Math.NET. I also have a machine learning library called numl that has some numerics built in.

#5

Do we need a math-specific library section here: https://github.com/Microsoft/dotnet/blob/master/dotnet-developer-projects.md. Would that help?

I’m happy to take PRs along those lines.
