Identity Foundation / Claims Inclusion?

#1

Hi Everyone:

I’m kind of the “security guy” among the developers where I work, and I was looking into which components relevant to security are going to be included in this initiative. I was quite happy to learn that large portions of the current framework offerings are included: cryptography, code access, and PKI facilities for example.

I was wondering if the facilities around claims and identities are going to be included?

Specifically:
System.IdentityModel.*
System.Security.Claims

I suspect that there is not a lot of direct native interactions with these particular facilities, so I imagine these areas should be able to be brought in fairly easily as it were.

Perhaps maybe its not high on the list in terms of the grand scheme.

There is a list [here] (http://blogs.msdn.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-components-postattachments/00-10-58-94-19/NetCore_5F00_OpenSourceUpdate.xlsx) that tries to go through all the things that we’ve got in the current list to be a part of .NET Core.
